August 29th - September 3rd, 2010.
Place of the Event:
IAM-M2M will be hosted at the Oceanview
Hotel, Rocky Harbor, Newfoundland,
Canada, located in Gros Morne National Park, for a limited number
of missionaries. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned
for its spectacular views of mountain ranges.
Cost of the Event:
There is no cost to you only your travel expenses getting here.
IAM's supporting individuals and churches will cover the cost
for your room, meals, gratuities and activity expenses.
Daily Schedule:
The mornings will be a time to meet together, regroup, and have
a short time of worship. Afterward, participants will enjoy their
pre-selected activities for that day. The remainder of the day
is up to you. No pressure to prepare a sermon, go anywhere to
lead anything, or even attend any of the scheduled activities.
You are here to relax and do things at your leisure. This is
your time!
Activities include:
• having your hair styled
• relaxing by a campfire
• getting a massage
• hiking
• golfing
• swimming
• kayaking
• going on a boat tour
• opportunity to meet with a care-giver
• and more
Application process:
There will be an application processing fee of $50.00 that must accompany
your application. This will be refunded to successful applicants
on their day of arrival. In the unlikelihood that your application
is declined, you will be refunded your full application fee. Applications
that have been withdrawn/cancelled will not receive application fee
refunds. In this case, this fee will be used in the budgeting of
the event.
After you have submitted your application, a confirmation receipt
will follow. Successful applicants will continue to receive correspondence
leading up to the event.
If you have a change in plans and cannot attend the event, please
notify us by email. This will allow us to consider other applicants
who may be on our waiting list.

| An
M2M Event: the first step to “His Secret Place”.
International Alliance for Missions,
Inc. is holding its second M2M Event this summer
and you are invited to apply for this time of
refreshing and relaxation. This is not a retreat
where you are expected to attend workshops, participate
in discussions, etc. We call this an Event because
you are able to spend quality time with the Lord
in that “secret place” only He and
you know about. The definition of an event is
that which occurs in a quiet place, in your own
space, in an instant of time.
This
is open to missionary couples and singles.

DAY
ONE
M2M
guests are picked up at the airport by an enthusiastic
volunteer team. After check-in, you will have the opportunity
to get acquainted with the other guests in the hospitality
room.
DAY TWO
Guests are given the option to receive a relaxing massage to help set
the mood for the rest of their stay.
DAY THREE
For those who enjoy kayaking, the sights and sounds of the beautiful
bay has a lot to offer.
DAY FOUR
For the golfing enthusiasts, the greens await your presence. In the
afternoon, you could take a boat tour of the bay where you may spot
a whale or two.
DAY FIVE
Fill up your day with the many available choices
such as swimming, hiking, or just vegging out in your room, topped
off with an evening bonfire and roasted marshmallows.
DAY SIX
We say our goodbyes hoping that your time with us has brought you into
that secret place with the Lord and that your memories will be fond
ones of our province, Newfoundland.
